It is close to breeding, but the focus is different. Breeding is about the act of cumming inside; creampie is about what is left behind. A bottom can be bred without anyone checking, but a creampie is meant to be seen.

Where it comes from

The image is a pastry with cream filling, which tells you everything about the sense of humor involved. The word is shared with straight porn, and gay porn uses it the same way, as a scene type and a search tag. Nobody has pinned down where or when it was first used.

In porn

Creampie scenes became a genre once gay porn went bareback. In the condom era, the money shot had to be outside, on the body or the face, both because condoms required it and because viewers wanted proof. Without condoms, studios found a new proof: the internal cumshot, shown afterwards as it drips out. Today creampie, internal and breeding are standard tags on gay tube sites.

Fans of the genre are specific about what they want: the pull-out, the slow reveal, multiple loads in group scenes. Bottoms who can push it back out on cue are, in this small world, minor celebrities.

The health side

A creampie means condomless anal sex with cum inside, the riskiest combination for STIs.
