Cum dump

A cum dump is a bottom who wants as many loads as possible, from as many men as possible, usually bareback. It is a role and a fantasy as much as a description: the guy who opens his door, or his sling, and lets the tops line up. Cumdump, written as one word, is just as common.

Out of context it sounds like an insult, and it can be one. Inside the kink it is usually a self-chosen title, worn with a certain pride. The man who writes "cum dump" in his profile is not apologizing for anything; he is advertising.

How it is used today

The word lives on hookup apps, cruising sites and in the pig corner of the scene. Profiles say "cum dump, all loads welcome," "looking to be used as a cumdump," or "dump available tonight." Some men advertise a door left unlocked and a blindfold, which is the extreme end; most cum dumps are simply bottoms who like a lot of tops in one night, at a party, a bathhouse or a darkroom.

The vocabulary around it is all about counting and collecting. Bottoms boast about the number of loads they took, tops are asked to "add to the collection," and a well-used cum dump might be described as leaking or full. It is one of the places where the language of gay kink is at its most unashamed.

The health side

Many partners and many loads means much more exposure to STIs than one-on-one bareback sex. PrEP taken as prescribed greatly reduces the chance of getting HIV from sex, but it does not protect against gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis or other STIs. Men who play this way usually test often, every three months at least, with throat and rectal swabs, and keep their hepatitis vaccines up to date.
